redleaderficHello, writer! I'm sorry about the bare looking sign up, hopefully the letter this fills in the blanks! If nothing here really appeals, write whatever you like. I'm wordy and like prompting but I'm pretty much guaranteed to like whatever you write for these characters.
Likes: Hurt/Comfort, (LOVE h/c!) UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, getting it on in the locker rooms after matches, road trips, spur of the moment bondage, wall sex. Kayfabe fic only, please!
AUs: Spies, superheroes, noir, WWE Immortals 'verse, medieval (yay, knights and jousts and fealty,) soulmates ("wrestling soulmates" is a thing! And especially soulmate AUs where being soulmates is a huge pain most of the time.)
DNWs: deathfic (unless undone by magic/time travel/etc! Then bring it on!) non-con, A/B/O, D/s with lots of negotiation.
I know I requested a lot of relationships but don’t feel like the fic has to explicit or even overtly romantic. Intense emotions and UST is just as good if that’s the way the story flows. Any rating is great.
NXT
• Relationship: Tyler Breeze/William Regal
I LOVED Tyler barging into Regal’s office and trying to work his supermodel charm. I’d love more of that, with Tyler really pulling out all the stops to seduce his boss (because obviously Regal is just being professional/playing hard to get! Tyler just has to keep trying!) Maybe Tyler sends pics or videos to cheer Regal up while he’s recovering from his neck surgery (or drapes himself all over Regal’s desk as a welcome back present), or if it’s set post Tyler’s call up maybe Regal’s the one getting in touch to encourage Tyler to keep his head up during this run of bad luck. I’m a big fan of Regal being charmed and tempted despite himself and Tyler getting angry and frustrated if the seduction isn’t working, or post call up Tyler getting the pick me up he needs. (Sad, discouraged Tyler Breeze being cheered up is a thing I need in my life right now.)
• Relationship: Tyler Breeze/Corey Graves
Corey’s incredibly blatant crush on Tyler was the BEST and I miss it. If it’s set when they were both still at NXT I like Corey pining and Tyler not understanding it at ALL, what is wrong with you Graves MAKE A MOVE ALREADY. Narcissist Tyler really loving the idea of Corey and his giant crush watching him work and Corey pulling out all the stops to make Tyler look great. If set post-call up, again Sad Discouraged Tyler needs a lot of cheering up! Tyler almost certainly misses having someone competent call his matches (none of these commentators ever mention how gorgeous he is! What’s their problem?) - maybe Corey redubs some after Tyler complains, or Tyler just touches base with his #1 fan to boost his ego after a hard match and Corey doesn’t mind being used like that at all.
• Relationship: Baron Corbin/Corey Graves
My boys! I love these assholes so much, I ship them almost as hard as Tom Phillips does. I’m good for anything here, early days fic where Corey is helping still very rough around the edges Baron with promos, or something in that limbo period between when Corey knows he’s not going to be cleared and starting the commentary gig when neither of them knew what would happen and they kept waiting for Canyon Ceman to walk through the door with bad news. And of course later on there’s lots of good things to celebrate – WM episode tag celebrating Baron winning the battle royal, the early win over Apollo, etc, Corey’s first big night at the commentary table, etc! (Or less good things to deal with, like Joe flattening Corey a few weeks ago!) Twitter flirting and tattoo kink a bonus.
I’m also big on werewolf!Baron! Bring on the enchanced senses and super strength and full moon freakouts.
• Relationship: Finn Balor/Sami Zayn
These two are adorable doing their house show routine but even aside from the clothes sharing and dance mockery I love how they’re on the surface happy, positive good guy types who are both kind of dorks who use that to cover up some real inner darkness. Now Sami might not be dealing with actual demon possession like Finn, but he has had a very rough year full of betrayal and injury and disappointment. I’d really like a story that explores all of that, where Finn is leaning on Sami when he’s having Demon issues or picking Sami up after a bad loss (perhaps via lego!), but there’s that unspoken tension that Finn has the belt Sami wants so desperately, that Finn beat KO twice, that while Sami was injured Finn slid into his place as the face of NXT. And Sami would never blame Finn for any of that! Finn’s earned everything he has. But it is a lot of envy and resentment to get through, even when there isn’t a demon lurking around stoking the flames.
Extra NXT note: I take great joy in hating Alex Riley. A-Ri being a douchebag antagonist is always welcome, especially if it results in wonderful things like Baron kicking him in the face or the Demon scaring him out of his boots. I know this is petty but the heart wants what it wants.
Lucha Underground
• Relationship: Drago/Aero Star
When a dragon and a man from space fall in love! :D These two are all of my favorite things about rivals to friends/lovers. Feel free to go all out with Drago being an actual dragon and Areostar being from space, it’s canon at this point and opens up so much tropey scifi goodness. I love time travel and Aerostar is the perfect excuse for that, same with Drago and wingfic. Areostar’s on what’s clearly going to be a very dangerous quest, there are plenty of opportunities for Drago to get pulled into that and for things to go wrong (Dario’s petty on his best day, after all.) Or if you’d rather keep things at the temple, there’s always the missing scene of what happened after the Nunchuck Fight (how great was that!) or Aztec Warfare. Drago still needs backup against Evans and PJ Black after all. (What IS Black’s problem, anyway? Is there a dragon vs werewolf war Areostar’s stumbled into?)
• Relationship: Son of Havoc/Ivelisse/Angelico
Team Havoc (or Team Ivelisse and probably Team Angelico if you asked his opinion on things) are my LU OT3 so I’d be happy with anything here. I love how they can’t get along for more than five minutes but are at their absolute best together. Set any time you like, during the first Trios tournament, after the win, during the hiatus, getting the belts back during S2, whenever, wherever. I really love the bickering that hides how they actually DO care about each other and would be all for situations that force them to deal with that.
Actual Angel!Angelico is always welcome! Especially if being angel creates a huge problem, there’s enough death magic and embodied gods running around to make that a complication instead of an asset. (also a good place for wingfic!)
• Relationship: Mack/Sexy Star
These two are just so cute. I love how supportive Mack has been of Star and her Moth trauma. He looks at her like she’s the greatest thing he’s ever seen and it’s just the best. And Mack being in peril broke her out of PTSD attack! If that’s not true love I don’t know what is. They’re as close to fluff as it gets at the Temple and it’s nice to have something candy coated to balance out all the death and destruction.
• Prince Puma
• Pentagón Jr
I grouped these two together because I loved how S2 set them up as mirrors of each other – they’re both very driven, strong-willed fighters with legends for mentors; they both want the title but have completely opposite ideas of how to get there. I like the contrast of Puma with his decency and conscience with Pentagon’s complete abandon. Puma’s been adrift since the end of last season – first he lost Konnan, then he lost his title and he’s had a hard time finding his footing since – while Pentagon’s always been sure of his path but that just led him right to Matanza Cueto. I’d love these two interacting in any way – Puma fighting jealousy that Pentagon essentially found his master almost when Puma had just gone through the trauma of losing his, the two of them being thrown together at the beginning of this season, Puma checking in with Pentagon while he’s recovering from Matanza trying to cripple him (maybe with Puma not even understanding why he’s doing it) etc. All of it would be great.
But I’m 100% for fic that only has one of them! I just love when my favorites are together. Like I said above, Puma’s been through a LOT. I’d love fic that deals with him losing Konnan or how he filled the time between the seasons. Right now he’s teaming with Rey and Azteca Jr – does he feel a kinship with them because they’ve also lost a mentor, or does he feel shut out because they have a bond through Dragon Azteca that he doesn’t? Rey has stepped into the mentor role – is Puma glad for that, or is there a little resentment there (even if Puma wishes there wasn’t!) Puma’s probably glad to see Catrina brought low, but is Dario and his monster brother holding the belt better?
And Pentagon! He wants to please his master so badly, I’d love anything with him and Vampiro – how this all started, how they adjusted things after Vampiro made himself known, how they spent their summer vacation, etc. And of course the continuing aftermath of the match the Matanza! We’ve seen that Vamp is really not dealing well with things at all – what else is going on behind the scenes?
(I really like mentor tropes, so if you do too then bring it all on!)
I’m also 100% on board with LU/NXT crossovers! Angels and demons! Multiple werewolves! (Baron’s reaction if PJ tries to drag him into whatever nonsense he has going on would be pretty great. And God help PJ if he gets Corey hurt.) Does Vampiro have friends in Florida he can call on to help Pentagon? (I bet Vamp and Abigail would get along. She knows how hard it is to see your boys hurt, after all.)
WCW
• Relationship: Scott Hall/Kevin Nash
The NWO was never better than when it was just Hall and Nash swaggering around and tossing Rey Mysterio around like a lawn dart. That era where they really were the Outsiders, just the two of them versus the entire old guard of WCW was the best and I’d love anything set there – an AU were things went differently (for better or worse!), missing scene fic of the two of them gloating or scheming or hiding from the WCW higher ups, them being menaced by Sting, etc. (I know Crow!Sting comes slightly later, but he’s so good a menacing.) Basically I’m not a big fan of Hogan, so if we either can politely pretend he’s not an issue or he’s busy being a pain in the ass, that would be great. I’d also be up for fic set much later, when the wheels are coming off the cart and everyone’s starting to realize it.
• Relationship: Brian Pillman/Steve Austin
The Hollywood Blondes were my favorites so of course WCW ruined everything. I love how even back then you can see the seeds of who both of them would become and I would pretty much love any fic where they’re being huge pains in the ass to everyone and making their own fun.
TNA
• Relationship: AJ Styles/Samoa Joe

Grouping everyone together here because while AJ/Daniels is one of my biggest OTPs, they only get over themselves and come together because of Joe. (Ask me how many times I rewound AJ lurking by the curtain at Genesis when Joe turned on Daniels, clearly full of emotions and not sure what to do with any of them.) Go crazy and write anything you want from any era: AJ and Daniels where they were enemies but still full of chemistry, during that shining time when they were teamed up, adrenaline getting the better of the three of them after one of their great X Division matches, everyone miserable and when TNA starts sliding downhill, dubconny AJ/Joe fic set during the month after Genesis, where Joe knows that AJ’s got a thing for Daniels and torments him about how great it felt to put him in the hospital, maybe Joe should go pay him a visit (or maybe that’s why he did it in the first place!) I like it when AJ surprises Daniels by not being quite as naïve as Chris expects and how good AJ was at bringing out Daniels’ better nature, at least for a little while.
(Fic set present day is probably cheating? But I would be all for that kind of cheating, especially since it would be informed by their TNA past. AJ and Joe being in the same orbit again, AJ older and harder but still too trusting, while Joe is the same amoral wrecking ball he always was? That would be great. I’d love it if Daniels is there as this missing piece both of them (but AJ especially) still feel, and I’d especially love anything with Joe giving AJ shit for getting to the big show and promptly falling for the first veteran named Chris who gave him a hard time and called him “kid.” Seriously, AJ.)
