redleaderficHello Yuletide writer! Thank you so much for offering one of my favorite wrestle fandoms! It might sound strange but wrestling is my favorite storytelling genre – so many high emotion stories, betrayal, reconciliation, victory and the worst disappointments. I can’t wait to read what you write, whether it’s about characters I’ve loved for 10+ years or some of my newest favorites.
Likes: Hurt/Comfort, (LOVE h/c!) UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, getting it on in the locker rooms after matches, supernatural going ons, time travel, Groundhog day loops, road trips, spur of the moment bondage, wall sex, sex pollen. Team #DIY! I genuinely, 100% mean it when I say that I would love ANYTHING with these two. HS AU where new kid in school Johnny is partnered up with loner (but secret goofball) Tommaso? Bring it. That MiB AU these two teased on twitter (or a Five Things story with Fast & Furious, Point Break movie AUs to match?) I am in. Assassin/Mafia AU where Commissioner Regal assigns Johnny to go undercover to get the dirt on icy-eyed hitman Tommaso “Psycho Killer” Ciampa? GO FOR IT. I am ready to read any and all AUs you might conjure up.
And now some slightly more canon-related prompts:
• Post-CWC fic! Especially anything dealing with Tommaso realizing that despite all the pre-match talk he really couldn’t go as far as he could have to beat Johnny, and/or it really sinking in for Johnny that he won that match because Tommaso could handle the possibility of losing better than the certainty that Johnny would get injured if he went for the kill and won the match. Maybe Tommaso’s having nightmares of what would have happened if he hadn’t had second thoughts about going for his finisher and handles things poorly, or an Awake-style AU when he goes to sleep he slips into a side universe where he won that match (and maybe the whole CWC!) but at a big cost.
• Fic dealing with poor Johnny’s Very Bad, No Good week. Johnny being insecure about Tommaso still wanting to team with him perhaps, or Tommaso trying to cheer Johnny up.
• Fic dealing with that great Revival beat down of Tommaso a few weeks ago! Johnny feeling guilty and trying to take care of Tommaso would be great, especially if Tommaso is grumpy about it. (Tommaso strikes me as someone who’d be grumpy about being taken care of in general.)
• #GLORIOUSBOMB shenanigans! Johnny and Tommaso getting locked somewhere trying to set up a #GLORIOUSBOMB and having to make the best of things, or maybe someone (Roode, whoever) tries to turn the tables and accidently winds up making a #DIY sex tape.
I’m a big sucker for tag team dynamics so I would love anything that focused on that, from getting to know each other during long road trips to learning how to depend on each other. I’m especially into any fic that deals with the edge Tommaso has, how he’s both an incredible goofball and the cold-eyed Psycho Killer in the ring, and how that works with Johnny’s generally sunny (but not entirely edgeless himself) personality. I’m great with Candice showing up (but don't break up her and Johnny!) and am rather fond of Chuck Taylor as Johnny’s ex who’s not entirely over things and has so many feelings, if the spirit of Yuletide moves you in that direction.
But seriously, I’m up for anything.
Lucha Underground

I love the bonkers mythology and supernatural goings on in the Temple. Actual dragons making friends with time-traveling alien astronauts! Prophecies! God-possessed champions and the brothers who love them! Trials in the actual SITH FORCE CAVE Vampiro had on hand for some reason! I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite from the tag set, go with the Aztec gods and write anyone and feel free to show just as little restraint as the actual show. I’m a huge fan of Dario’s Dial of Doom and would love it making an appearance, either for its standard match-making canon purposes or for more magical, sex pollen-esque uses.
Some prompts:
• I am a big, big fan of the whole THING going on between Puma, Pentagón and Vampiro right now and would love fic about it, especially the slow seduction Vampiro’s doing of Puma (which has NOTHING to do with Pentagón turning on him, Vampiro will tell you that himself.) I hateship Puma/Pentagón; I’d love Puma unable to stay away from Pentagón and hating himself for it, especially if Vampiro knows about it and uses it to get his hooks in deeps. Getting away from Puma/Pentagón and the amazing hatesex they would have, I’d love fic with Puma dealing with Konnan’s loss and how adrift he’s seemed since losing both him and the title – this was especially apparent in the Trios team he had with Rey and Azteca Jr, where for a while it seemed like he’d filled that hole but then everything frayed and fell apart almost as soon as he got comfortable. As for Pentagón and Vampiro, I’m very big on their mentor/pupil relationships – S1 fic where Vampiro’s watching Pentagón make those sacrifices, not knowing his master was right there watching, S2 fic dealing with Pentagón’s injury and Vampiro’s weird (but effective!) torture medicine, S3 fic with Vampiro burning up watching Pentagón fight after having rejected him, etc. I’m fascinated by these two and would love anything there. As for Vampiro himself, I love the conflict between his two selves, how “Vampiro” seems to genuinely hate “Ian,” to the point of sending Pentagón to war against him. Vampiro’s fascination with violence is almost as pronounced as Dario’s and you can hear him tip from one side of his personality to the other and back again during commentary.
• I ship Drago/Aerostar so, so hard and could not be more delighted that they’re champions. Did you see Aerostar’s fabulous promo from last season?

Or him showing up in the nick of time (presumably from space) to save Drago from a two-on-one nunchuck attack (wielding what where presumably space nunchucks?) I love these two a lot is what I’m getting at and would love any story featuring them. Post-Trios title win, post Aerostar beating Drago for the Gift of the Gods medallion last season, post-best of five series (or mid-series fic, showing the friendship growing from match to match) or just fic dealing with the understandable conflicts that arise when an alien and a dragon fall in love. They’re both inhuman and alien in their own ways, really, and I’ve love fic that explores what that POV would be. Aerostar and his time travel opens up lots of plots: maybe something terrible happens and Aerostar tries to fix it, or he know something is going to happen and he’s trying to change the future.
ETA: With the latest revelations I wanted to say I am 100% HERE for any and all wild speculations about why Drago fell out with the snakes and why he's so adamant about not going back! (Aerostar was hanging out with the Aztecs right around that time too, wasn't he? :D)
• The Cueto brothers are the strange, violent heart of the Temple and I love the genuine bond there is between them. I’d love fic set during the S2 road trip last season when the two of them and Black Lotus were a terrible family in close quarters for a while, or set pre-Temple, with teenage Dario showing the first signs of who he would become and what part his brother would play in that. How much does Matanza comprehend of what’s going on? How much of him is the god? Do the god and the man talk in there, or are they fused into something new? What DID he do for those months while Dario was in jail? What would happen is someone really got a hold of Dario (the way he frankly richly deserves!) I’m charmed by how Matanza seemed fond (for him) of Lotus last season and love more of that, as well as Dario’s attempts at interpersonal bonding.
• Mil Muertes, the man of 1000 deaths. I’d love fic dealing with what happens in between those deaths – where does he go after those Grave Consequences matches? What is the Lucha Underground afterlife like, and what does it feel like when Catrina pulls him back? What was it like meeting Catrina in the rubble all those years ago? What does he think about Catrina’s history with Fénix?
• SEXY STAR! I love her so much, one of the few still unambiguously good people in the Temple. She was adorable with the Mack last season and I ship them hard but I’d love fic with her interacting with anyone in the tag set: her and Puma dealing with how the Temple chips away at your soul, her history with Pentagón and Vampiro (Pentagón targeting her was what led to Vampiro’s eventual unveiling after all, and after last season’s trauma with Mariposa how attractive must Pentagón’s cero miedo philosophy seem? Talk about opposites there.) And of course her current friendship with Drago and Aerostar (and Fénix, of course!) I’d love her bonding with her new friends – Fénix especially could probably use a friendly ear or Aerostar and Drago could tell her stories about space and ancient battles. Maybe Aerostar can take her time traveling!

That stretch of 2005-2006 where it seemed like every episode of Impact had some combination of AJ vs Daniels vs Joe is one of my favorite eras of wrestling, period. I would love ANYTHING set then or spinning out of then. I ship AJ/Daniels very hard, they’re one of my longest standing OTPs, and ship Joe with both, especially if he’s playing the other two against each other.
• Post-Genesis fic, with guilty AJ having all kinds of feelings about watching Joe put Daniels in the hospital. Prime opportunity for bedside vigils here, especially with AJ not even sure what it is he’s feeling – he and Daniels weren’t ACTUALLY friends at this point but they’d fought so many times at that point there was that wrestling soulmate bond nonetheless. On Joe’s side, Joe winding AJ up until their title match a month later, using his feelings for Daniels against him – maybe that was the whole reason he’d turned on Daniels in the first place, he’d figured out the perfect way to get under Golden Boy AJ’s skin. (How things change! For AJ, anyway, Joe’s always been Joe.)
• ANYTHING set during AJ and Daniels’ tag team era, a time cruelly cut short by TNA’s grudge against me personally. Everything from sneaking around backstage during tapings to the tension of knowing that this probably wasn’t going to last and someday AJ and Daniels would go back to being at each other’s throats. (A tension they share with #DIY, actually!)
• Joe in general being scheming and traitorous and terrible.
• Fic set during that post-glory days era when AJ’s halo started to slip. Did Daniels ever feel a little regret at pushing AJ to dirty his hands a little when it actually started to happen?
WWE Immortals

I love any excuse for cracked out AUs, so go wild here. I have a huge weakness for seeing how the Shield drama plays out in other settings, from the first meetings to Seth’s sudden but inevitable betrayal. What did pirate Seth do to earn his first captaincy? Why DID Evolved Seth dive into the cybernetics, and who funded him? (Is there a better backdrop for Shield drama than a cyberpunk ‘verse?) What does Centurion Roman think when he sees these other Seth’s, and what did his Seth do? I ship Dean/Seth and Dean/Roman/Seth but he’s not in the tagset so I don’t expect him! If the story centers on AU Shield drama I’d like him to still have a presence even if just by his absence (maybe especially because of his absence!) My favorite part of AUs is seeing how canon events and terrible choices play out in other universes and Immortals especially has the potential to bring that home with Seth and Roman being forced to face and team with their alternate selves.
And Steph! The Stephanie/Seth subtext has been rapidly knocking on canon’s door (“Didn’t we have some good times?”) and there’s no reason to think that would change in an AU. What does Warrior Queen Steph think about this cyborged up Seth swearing fealty to her? How badly did things fall apart with Seth and Stephanie in the pirate verse, and how does he deal with seeing another version of Stephanie who (presumably) hasn’t betrayed him? How tired is Roman of living with this drama? Immortals isn’t just AU, it’s potentially an AU crossover with all the fun that brings.
